Don't Stay Stuck

If you've been here a while you likely know that I advocate leaning into positivity and away from negativity as much as possible... but what happens when we are just feeling down (mentally and/or physically)?

First, I want to remind you to acknowledge and honor your feelings, whatever they may be. They are valid and deserve our attention.

Second, once you've done that, take some time to think about why you are feeling this way? Did something happen that instigated these feelings? Did you not sleep well and are therefore tired and stressed? Did you strain a muscle and feel sore? Identifying the cause can help us make adjustments in the future. We can see it coming and decide if we still want to proceed.

Lastly, set aside a few minutes a few times throughout the day today to take a couple of deep breaths and make a few notes in your journal of how you feel as the day goes on. This is helpful for us to see if we are improving or staying stuck in those feelings.
